Western Port Festival - February 26th - 28th, 2010
On the picturesque Hastings Foreshore Western Port Festival Program has something for all members of the family, as we have put together events to entertain all ages.
Entry is free and so is the entertainment! You will only have to pay for your rides and food.
Friday Night we are starting things off with Cool Jazz on a Warm Evening - browse the Twilight Market Stalls and relax into your weekend.
This year we are welcoming Aquafest Marine Expo, Which will add Dragon Boat Races to Saturday's already bulging program. The Southern Water Ski team have also joined the fun and they will also be doing their stuff on Saturday.
Don’t forget to watch the BlueScope Steel Street Parade down Main St at 12.20pm on Saturday or the Independent News Fireworks in the evening.
With this years theme ‘Soudwaves’ we again have too many acts to fit on one stage. So as well as the Main Stage with its Rock & Roll, look out for the Community Stage for extra free entertainment.
Sunday starts off with all the laughs of the Raft race, then please the little ones with the Teddy Bears Picnic. Admire the Art & Artisans Show or cars & trucks in the Car Show. Don't forget to take time out to gasp at the speed and excitement of the Power Boats, as they zoom around the course at speeds of up to 160 km p/h.
